Feijoa juice origin:
The Feijoa was collected in southern Brazil by a German explorer Friedrich Sellow in 1815 and introduced to Europe by French botanist and horticulturist, Dr Edouard Andre, in 1890. It was named after Brazilian botanist, Joam da Silva Feijo. In the 1920s, the Feijoa was introduced to New Zealand, where ideal climate conditions produced large fruit, and few pests meant Feijoas could be grown organically. To this day, chemical sprays are not applied, making NZ Feijoas some of the most natural fruit available.
